When we are asked to do a site, we want to make sure it’s exactly what the customer has in mind when it’s a completed project. That’s why we will go over some site design options, give pro's and con's of the different options and we keep you, the customer, involved throughout the entire process.

If we start a site for you and have a new idea, we will do a rough design page and offer it up as a possible plan. If it’s approved, then we implement it into the site, if it’s not, we’ll just scrap it and come up with a better idea. Sounds simple enough, right? Many web design companies feel they should have the say on what goes and stays on the site. We don't believe that. It is ultimately your decision that wins the approval.

This is a rough idea of what stages we go through for a site plan. Keep this in mind if you are thinking about starting a site.

STEP 1:

Meet with you to discuss plans for site. What is the goal of the site (to sell a product or to give information or ...)
Go over what the site architecture will be like, how do you want your customers to navigate your site, etc.

STEP 2:

Come up with a graphics/color scheme to match your company’s goal (you don’t want an international corporation to have a rainbow background with goofy animal characters and cheesy icons for a site). Unless, of course, that IS your company.

STEP: 3

Design a "test" layout for customer approval. Fix any desired changes and bring back for final approval.

STEP 4:

Design the entire site with approved graphics, architecture and functionality. Test the site to ensure all items work accordingly.

STEP 5:

Present to customer for final approval and posting.

STEP 6:

Submit new site to various search engines for increased traffic.

STEP 7:

Consult customer on ways to increase traffic to site and thereby increase profit to your company or increase exposure to the information you're offering.

STEP 8 (and on):

Maintain site with updates, links, and current submission to search engines.

This is a very shortened version of what goes into a web site development project. Unless you want Torg Creations to have 100% control of your site, plan to be fully involved as an "information source" throughout the project.
